New Year’s Eve 2026
Spend New Year’s Eve in the Royal Botanic Gardens
This year, spend the last night of 2026 somewhere most of Sydney will never get to: inside the Royal Botanic Garden, right on the harbour,
with some of the best fireworks views in the city.
There are two ways to do it. Join us at Botanic House for a six-course dinner by Luke Nguyen, or head to Farm Cove for canapés, food stations and drinks with the harbour right in front of you. Whichever you choose, you’ll end the night in the same place.
Botanic House and Farm Cove are the only venues with access to the Australian Rockery lawn, a stretch of grass near the Opera House that stays closed to the public on New Year’s Eve. While the crowds are packed in along the foreshore, you’ll be out on the lawn with a glass of champagne in hand when the clock hits midnight and the bridge lights up.
The night starts early. Just before 9pm, we’ll walk you down to the Farm Cove lawn for the family fireworks. Then, as midnight gets closer, we head further through the Gardens to the Rockery for the main event.
